The Disappearance of Hailey Athay
Hailey Athay, 33, has been missing since Thanksgiving. The last reported sightings placed her in South Kelso — first at a store, then at the Lexington Chevron. After that, all contact stopped.
Hailey is described as 5’7”, about 135 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She may have ties to Castle Rock, Vancouver, and Olympia.
Those close to her are worried. While Hailey has faced challenges in the past, this silence is unlike anything before. Friends and family fear foul play could be involved. Search efforts in Rose Valley, Toutle, and along Ocean Beach Highway have turned up nothing.
This is not just another missing persons case. Hailey is more than a statistic. She is a daughter, a friend, a member of her community — and she deserves to be found. Her loved ones deserve answers, not silence.
If you know anything about Hailey’s whereabouts, please come forward. Contact Detective James Hanberry with the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office at 360-577-3092 and reference case A25-247.
Hailey’s story deserves attention. Her family deserves the truth. And above all, Hailey deserves to come home.
