The Disappearance of Rickisha Renee Bear
On February 4, 2024, Rickisha “Kisha” Renee Bear vanished from Pablo, Montana. Just nineteen years old, Kisha had told a friend that she wanted to get help for her substance abuse struggles. Her friend scheduled an appointment for her—but before she could take that next step, Kisha slipped away in the night and never came back.
Kisha is a member of the Chippewa Cree Indians of the Rocky Boy’s Reservation. She stood between 4’10” and 5’0”, weighing 120 to 140 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair that, at the time, was dyed bright red with dark roots showing. Her braces, multiple piercings, and tattoos made her easy to recognize. The most distinctive marking is the “Baby Girl” tattoo on the upper left side of her chest near her collarbone—a detail her family hopes will help someone identify her.
She was last seen wearing a sweater, jeans, and sneakers.
Kisha’s nickname, “Kisha,” is well known among her loved ones. She has ties to multiple Montana cities: Rocky Boy, Havre, Great Falls, and Billings. While she sometimes dropped out of sight before, this disappearance is different. She has now been gone far longer than ever before, and her family is desperate for answers. They reported her missing on March 26, 2024, weeks after she was last seen.
Very few details are available in Kisha’s case, and like so many other missing Indigenous women, her story risks fading into the shadows without public awareness. She is one of far too many Native women in the United States who vanish without resolution, leaving their families to live in uncertainty and grief.
If you know anything about the disappearance of Rickisha Renee Bear, please come forward. Her family deserves answers, and Kisha deserves to be found.
